Miley Cyrus has proven time and time again that she's got a great voice, especially when singing classic covers. (See: "Jolene," "Don't Dream It's Over.")
On Tuesday night, the former Disney star was back at it again during her appearance on "Maya & Marty," Maya Rudolph and Martin Short's new variety show. The "Bangerz" singer took to the stage dressed in a black-and-white tux and top hat (with glitter, of course) to perform a medley of two songs.
First up was Leonard Cohen's "I'm Your Man," followed up by Peggy Lee's "I'm A Woman," for which Cyrus stripped down to a black bodysuit; she was accompanied by Rudolph, who was wearing a matching ensemble.
The performance was great, and also perfectly aligned with the 23-year-old's ongoing mission to encourage gender equality. Cyrus herself has previously explained how she doesn't like labels -- man, woman or whatever.
In an interview with Out magazine last year, the singer said, "I don’t relate to what people would say defines a girl or a boy, and I think that’s what I had to understand: Being a girl isn’t what I hate, it’s the box that I get put into."
