Miley Cyrus' Red Carpet Dress Is Sending A Message (PHOTOS)

She always keeps us guessing.

Miley Cyrus made a rare appearance alongside her fiance, Liam Hemsworth, at the premiere of his new movie on Thursday night. After weeks of rumors that the two aren't even still engaged and plenty of "wild child" antics from Cyrus herself, Miley showed up to the red carpet looking positively... demure.

The label-loving star eschewed her thigh-high Louboutins and her strappy Versace minidress for a fitted A-line dress by Proenza Schouler that reached her knees. She paired it with a ladylike Chanel bag and trendy white pumps.

It was an unexpected choice, given the star has been picking flashier labels like Versace and Balmain as of late and has been baring as much skin as possible (as everyone with an Internet connection is aware of).

But for a moment that signaled to the press, "Yes, I and my fiance are still as stable as ever," Miley clearly went a different sartorial route. Think this fashion-forward dress is sending some sort of message?
