Miley Cyrus has reached the stage of her career where she's all about defending everything she does.
On Sunday, the 20-year-old singer shared a couple photos from an upcoming spread in Notion magazine that feature her posing in nothing but black heels, white undies and a plant-print sweater.
The "We Can't Stop" singer who recently admitted to the U.K. paper the Daily Mail that she is singing about the party drug molly on her latest single, complained to the magazine that the party girl reputation she's earned is completely unfair.
"People have this misconception of me that I'm just one of these kids on TV and that now I go off and party and I'm just this ratchet white girl, and I'm not," she told Notion. "I work really really hard, I'm just in a different environment. I'm young and living and in LA which is everyone's dream, you know."
We know, Miley.
And in a recent interview with the Associated Press, Cyrus told the paper she thinks people "forget what it feels like to be 20," adding that she's not supposed to have it all together yet, so don't expect her to:
"That's why I think some people kind of fall off and they end up going crazy because you don't give yourself time to go crazy," she said. "That's what you're supposed to do; you are 20, you are supposed to be a mess because you haven't figured it out yet, and 10 years from now I am supposed to have it all together."
