Are Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth headed for the aisle or for a split? Reports claim there is more trouble in paradise for the young couple, as the singer continues to ditch her engagement ring.
Cyrus was spotted without her ring (yet again) on Thursday while in Sherman Oaks, Calif.
"Miley and Liam had another argument before the weekend and the engagement ring is off again," a source close to Cyrus told People magazine on Monday. "They don't want to get married until they figure out their problems. But Miley is very worried about losing Liam. She is crazy about him."
However, an E! News insider bashed the People story, saying that a Cyrus-Hemsworth wedding was never set in stone in the first place.
"They live together; the wedding is not off," a source told E! News. "You can't postpone a wedding that never had a date in the first place. Their plan all along was to wait a couple of years before even thinking about a date. The People story is ridiculous."
The E! source added that the 20-year-old is dealing with some issues in her relationship right now, but "is hopeful it will get worked out."
Snoop Lion -- who collaborated with the former Disney star on "Ashtrays and Heartbreak" -- doesn't seem to think Cyrus and Hemsworth have much left to salvage.
"I can’t speak for her, ya know what I’m saying, but I know that she has a relationship that no longer exists," he told HuffPost Live's Marc Hill on Monday. "I know she’s probably in a transformation change with her life, her music, her career. She’s 20 years old and she’s an awesome artist to work with. She knows what she wants in life. I feel like maybe this is a time for her to take charge like I’m taking charge."
Meanwhile, the singer's father, Billy Ray Cyrus, referred to Miley and Liam as "great friends" during a recent interview, adding that he isn't sure what the future holds.
