Smiles And Tears Greet Military Mom Who Surprises Daughter At School (VIDEO)

WATCH: Military Mom's Homecoming Takes Daughter By Surprise

Last Tuesday, Kambria Foster's average school day suddenly transformed into something extraordinary.

What had been just another storytime at Vineville Academy in Macon, Ga., instead turned into a flurry of excitement and hugs when Foster's mom, Jocelyn, a Tech Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, returned early from being deployed overseas.

"I'm excited. I'm emotional. I'm overwhelmed with joy, because she thinks I'm at work in Asia right now, and she has no earthly idea that I'm here," Jocelyn told NBC affiliate WMGT just before surprising her daughter. "She's endured a whole lot these last six months with being gone for the summertime, so I'm excited for her and this will be something she'll never forget."

According to WMAZ, Jocelyn has served in the military for 13 years, during which time the family has come to rely on Skype to keep in touch.

Photos of the reunion, taken by The Macon Telegraph, show Kambria with a mile-wide smile after her mom walked into the room. The Telegraph reports Vineville Academy's principal orchestrated the surprise.
