MINDDRIVE is a mentorship program that inspires students to learn more about math and science through hands-on development projects. The organization's latest effort, The Social Fuel Tour, challenged Kansas City-area teenagers to build an electric car that that converts social activity into energy. MINDDRIVE President Linda Buchner and CEO Steve Rees joined HuffPost Live Wednesday to explain how students restored an old car and then installed a device that turned social media connections into fuel power to take the car from Kansas City to Washington D.C.
