Miranda Cosgrove, star of Nickelodeon's "iCarly," arrived in Chicago a day early this week to surprise a 7-year-old fan who is battling cancer.

Katrina Janik, mother of 7-year-old Carrie, contacted the show's producers and told them her very ill daughter wanted to meet "iCarly," NBC Chicago reports.

Carrie was invited to Cosgrove's Friday night performance at the Rosemont Arena, but she was not able to leave the hospital. So, "iCarly" came to her.

NBC reports:

Unfortunately, Carrie couldn't leave the hospital, so Cosgrove instead sang by the girl's bedside. Cosgrove and her crew sang three songs, a dream come true for this little girl.

"To be able to give Carrie this gift is something that she really wanted," Janik said.
