Miranda Kerr: I Didn't Fit In With The Other Supermodels

Not Pretty Enough?

'Tis the season for self-effacing supermodels.

First Rosie Huntington-Whiteley said in an interview with Harper's Bazaar that she was "a bit of an Ugly Betty" as a teen, and now fellow Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr is telling the world she felt threatened by other women's looks.

In a recent chat with New York magazine, Miranda recalls what she felt upon first meeting her glamorous colleagues:

I just remember, like, the first time I met Adriana [Lima], she was so beautiful. I was like, "Why would they want me? I mean, look at her. She's incredible.' And then I met Heidi and Gisele and I was like, 'What am I doing here?' "

"I always see myself as, like, equal to everyone," Kerr says of her fellow models.

For what it's worth, Miranda, we can easily see how you fit in with them, because we have eyes.

Kerr concludes with a mantra about embracing your own originality:

"I can't feel bad about being who I am, just like the girl next to me can't feel bad about being who she is," she says. "Because a rose can never be a sunflower, and a sunflower can never be a rose."

Other fun tidbits from the article: Miranda says that both she and hubby Orlando Bloom are practicing Buddhists, and she maintains her flawless figure with yoga and "smoothies with noni juice and vitamineral greens."

Considering she still buys her bras from Victoria's Secret in person, we believe Miranda -- and we're glad! -- that she's staying down to earth.
