Miranda Kerr Victoria's Secret Contract Not Renewed: REPORT

Miranda Kerr's Victoria's Secret Contract NOT Renewed?

Miranda Kerr's days as a Victoria's Secret Angel might be no more.

Us Weekly is reporting exclusively that Kerr's Victoria's Secret contract has not been renewed for the coming year. According to "multiple sources," the Australian model's $1 million deal with the lingerie brand is being dropped because she doesn't draw as many sales as her fellow Angels.

Kerr is reportedly still walking in this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and will continue to pose for the catalogue. But Us Weekly's sources say that her designation as an Angel, a position reserved for just a handful of the brand's top faces, no longer stands.

It's an announcement we didn't see coming, given Miranda's prominence in Victoria's Secret's press efforts and ad campaigns. At 29, she is certainly not the oldest Angel (Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio are both 31) and consistently lands major gigs outside the Victoria's Secret world, upping her personal brand recognition.

We've reached out to a Victoria's Secret rep for confirmation, so stay tuned. Do you think Miranda should stay on as an Angel?

UPDATE: Ed Razek, President and Chief Marketing Officer at Victoria’s Secret, gave a statement to JustJared.com:

“Miranda Kerr is one of the best models in the history of the business – and easily one of the most popular. She is also a consummate professional. Any rumors to the contrary are simply untrue. While her international commitments have kept her away from us more than we’d like over the past few years, she will always be an Angel to me. We have no plans to stop working with her. In fact, I’ve already invited her to walk the runway in this year’s fashion show and, happily, she’s agreed."

OK, but is she still an official Angel or not? Stay tuned.
