People Already Hate Missy Elliot And Fall Out Boy's New 'Ghostbusters' Theme Song

What would Ray Parker Jr. think?

If you're filming a reboot of "Ghostbusters" and you need someone to redo the theme song, who you gonna call? Missy Elliot and Fall Out Boy, apparently.

The rock group and rapper remixed the iconic 1984 hit for the upcoming Paul Feig reboot, which is due out in theaters July 15. While some -- like Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy -- are obviously excited about the song, a few critics aren't so happy.

Consequence of Sound wrote that original song had been "tragically defaced by shitty pop-punk," while Jezebel said parts of the new tune sounded like "taking tiny pigeon shits all over solos from a guitar made of aluminum." And, of course, there's a ton of hate on Twitter:

But like we say to the people who don't want an all-female "Ghostbusters" movie: Get over it and go see the damn thing.

If you're feeling nostalgic, below is the original song by Ray Parker Jr.:
