Missy Elliott Lamborghini Lawsuit: Rapper Claims Dealership Holding Luxury Car Hostage

Missy Elliott Files Lawsuit Over $400K Lamborghini

Multi-Grammy-winning rapper and producer Missy Elliott is currently embroiled in a nasty legal battle with an Illinois dealership over a luxury sports car with a price tag of almost $400,000.

TMZ reports that Elliott has filed suit against Fox Valley Motor Cars in Westmont, Ill. claiming that she entered into a contract to buy a 2012 Lamborghini Aventador in matte white for $376,000. Elliott's down payment was to consist of $30,000 in cash plus her traded-in 2005 Bentley.

However, Elliott claims the dealership has not shipped her new car to her by mid-2012, which was their alleged agreement. The dealership has also allegedly upped their asking price.

CBS Chicago reports that Elliott, represented by Miami-based attorney Michael Trauben, is suing the dealership for possession of the car plus additional damages.

Elliott was expected to release her first album in seven years last month but the long-awaited comeback album remains forthcoming.
