This is a dream collaboration if we ever saw one.

What do you get when you put a Tony-winning Broadway performer in the room with a history-making ballerina? Apparently, a stunning rendition of George Gershwin’s “Summertime.”

Cynthia Erivo, who nabbed a Tony this year for her performance in “The Color Purple,” posted a video to Instagram and Twitter this week showing the ever-inspiring Misty Copeland dancing to a live rendition of the song Ella Fitzgerald made so many fall in love with.

In the short clip, Erivo provides the a cappella vocals as Copeland, in a gorgeous sheer dress, bends and twirls to her heavenly music. If ever a collaboration(/best friendship) were meant to be, this is it:

Erivo notes in her caption that the collaboration came together thanks to Cosmopolitan magazine, which features Copeland in its August issue.

“I approach every day like it’s my first ballet class,” Copeland told the magazine. “Like I’m still that girl striving to get into ABT.”

The now-principal dancer, famously the first black woman to attain the coveted role at the American Ballet Theater, went on to explain how Prince helped her to realize her full potential when she worked with him in 2009.

“I had times when, as an African-American woman, I felt that I didn’t belong in the ballet world,” she said. “Having someone say, ‘I trust you and your talent,’ was all it took to start feeling like I could be in control of my career and make things happen on my own.”

Here’s to hoping Erivo and Copeland will continue to make amazing things like this happen together.
