Mitt Romney didn't just talk about his disdain for the so-called "47 percent" during his now-infamous May fundraiser. He also discussed his appearances on "The View" and the late-night comedy shows — and why he refused to appear on "Saturday Night Live."

Romney's comments came after a donor wondered why he didn't appear on daytime talk shows as much as President Obama. "I never see you," she said, opining that people could see Romney "in a different light" if he did more daytime gigs.
Romney said he had appeared on "The View" twice, as well as what he called "the evening shows." He said David Letterman hates him because he has done Jay Leno's show more often. "They're very jealous of one another, as you know," he told the donor.
Romney continued that he refused a request from "SNL" because, as he put it,"You want to show that you're fun and you're a good person but you also want to be presidential and 'Saturday Night Live' has the potential of looking slapstick and not presidential."
He then returned to "The View," calling it "high-risk" because Elisabeth Hasselbeck was the only conservative on the show.
"Four are sharp-tongued and not conservative, Whoopi Goldberg in particular," he said. "Although the last time I was on the show, she said to me, 'You know what? I think I could vote for you.' I said I must have done something really wrong."
Romney has been invited to appear on the show this election cycle, but has yet to do so.
