Mitt Romney's Wife Ann Buys Him Gap Skinny Jeans

We were just catching up on our Mitt Romney-themed reading when we noticed a serious style story buried right in the lede of an L.A. Times article from Saturday entitled "A whole new Romney for 2012 presidential run." Imagine that!

Paul West writes:

Reporting from Washington Defying his reputation as a 1950s square, the new, more casual Mitt Romney is popping up around the country as he readies a second run for president. He's going tieless on network TV, strolling NASCAR pits in Daytona and sporting skinny Gap jeans bought for him by his wife.

Hold the phone -- "sporting skinny Gap jeans bought for him by his wife." Mr. West, you can't just slip that in there and keep writing the rest of your article! We want need to know more about the likely GOP candidate's debatable denim. Like, stat.

We did some digging and the only image we can find of a jeans-clad Mitt is on his Facebook page. However he's clearly wearing Levi's and they're not so skinny. Pictures of the skinny jeans or it didn't happen, buddy.

We also paid a visit to Gap.com to peruse the brand's skinny jeans selection -- 9 different options from slouchy to standard, faded gray to color wash. And perfect for the campaign trail.
