'Modern Family' Season 4: Cast Still In Contract Talks

'Modern Family' Cast Still Looking For More Money

The cast of "Modern Family" is still looking for a raise. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show's stars are holding out for $200,000 an episode, a hefty pay increase compared to the reported $65,000 most of the cast made during Season 3.

Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet and Sofia Vergara are negotiating together, THR reports. Ed O'Neil reportedly made $105,000 an episode last season. All parties involved scored Emmy nominations recently, which is likely to help in their negotiations.

Vergara isn't exactly hurting for the extra money. The actress was recently named TV's highest paid actress thanks to her salary and endorsement deals.

News of the "Modern Family" negotiations first broke in March. A source told THR that it was "going to get ugly." The cast is currently scheduled to reunite for their first table read on Tues., July 24.

UPDATE: The "Modern Family" Season 4 table read has been canceled, according to Deadline.com. The parties have yet to make a deal regarding contracts.

At the time of publication, the "Modern Family" cast stayed mum on Twitter regarding the table read and whether or not they will be attending, but co-creator Steve Levitan took to the social networking site to share his excitement about getting back to work.
