Here's Where It Got Colder Than Antarctica

The polar vortex plunged much of the Midwest into Antarctica-like temperatures on Monday. Chicago, Detroit and Minneapolis all experienced high temperatures below the South Pole's high of -9 degrees Fahrenheit. As the weather system swept to the east Tuesday, even the deep South was frozen over, with low temperature records being shattered across Georgia and the Carolinas.
