NHL Team Makes Stirring Gesture To Honor Paris Terror Victims

The sports world continued to honor the Paris terror victims with a touching nod from the National Hockey League.

On Saturday, the Montreal Canadiens played the French national anthem before their game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

With the ice bathed in the red, white and blue of the French flag as players and officials stood at attention, "La Marseillaise" filled the Bell Centre, the video above shows.

Earlier this week, some French NBA players wore shirts bearing the words "Je Suis Charlie" ("I Am Charlie"). The slogan has become a pledge of solidarity in the wake of the attacks in France, beginning with the deadly assault on the Charlie Hebdo satirical newspaper.
