Ever find yourself perusing a clothing catalog and wishing you could see the models on the pages without their clothes on?
We can't say the thought ever occurred to us, but maybe, just maybe, there are some home shoppers who've felt this way (perhaps of the male persuasion in particular). To which we say: there's an app for that.
The Moosejaw X-Ray App, available for the iPhone, iPad and Android, acts as x-ray vision for Moosejaw's new catalog, which features the outdoor apparel company's latest North Face jackets, ski pants and more sporty gear.
Simply download the app, then hold your device over an image of a clothed model on the page -- and suddenly that cute ski bunny in the puffer jacket and snow pants is dressed, well, like a different sort of bunny.
Lest you think this is some sexist, female-exploiting endeavor, the men do get equal treatment. Hover your iPad over a male model in a hoodie and cargo pants and behold said model in his skivvies.
Is this necessary to sell activewear? Not in the slightest. Is it a titillating innovation to get people more interested in otherwise pretty boring clothes? Well, duh.
Check it out below. Would you pay for it?
