More Men Frequent Spas As 'Manscaping' Catches On

ABC News reports that more and more men are visiting spas to groom their body hair, to clean up eyebrows, backs and even that area down there.

At Manhattan's Townhouse Spa, despite the decreasing number of female clients, the number of male clients has more than doubled in the last year.

"We do have a high gay clientele, but we are starting to see a lot more straight men who want pampering. We have a lot of bankers and hedge fund guys who think grooming is as important as their work," said owner Jamie Ahn.

And, of course, the ladies they interviewed are all in favor of keeping men's hair under control:

"Excess body hair, for me personally, is a big turn off," said Karina Jimenez, a 21-year-old from San Antonio, Texas. "The natural look is honestly OK. I mean, of course if you like the person for who they are, it doesn't matter what they look like. But sometimes a little manscaping couldn't hurt."

There is statistical evidence that proves manscaping is embraced by guys who hope to...be embraced. A 2005 study from the journal Sex Roles determined that 63.6 percent of 118 men polled said they trimmed or removed body hair to be hygienic and attractive.

Well, you have to look good if you're going to show some heavage, right?
