Popular Baby Names Spoof: Jimmy Kimmel On The Reality TV Trend In Baby Names (VIDEO)

WATCH: Jimmy Kimmel Reveals Why Some Baby Names Are So Popular

The Social Security Administration recently unveiled the most popular baby names of 2011, and late night television host Jimmy Kimmel has some speculation as to why certain names made the list.

In the top spot for girls is Sophia, and Jacob for boys, which has been number one for 13 consecutive years. It's hard to ignore, however, that names like Mason, the name of Kourtney Kardashian's son, and Briella, from the show "Jerseylicious," have climbed drastically in the rankings. Kimmel spoofs the rise of reality-TV-inspired names with a parody YouTube video.

Watch the video above for Kimmel's predictions on which (absurd) names parents will choose next.
