Most Popular Neighborhoods In America For 2012 Revealed By Realtor.com

Supposedly we don’t.

The Windy City is home to many things: deep-dish pizza, Oprah's empire and Michelle Obama's favorite boutique, Ikram. But it's also home to 2012's most popular neighborhood in America, according to Realtor.com.

As the year comes to an end, the real estate website has complied a list of America’s hottest neighborhoods of 2012, and being partial to New York City, we thought it would be on the top of the list, but it's Old Town, Chicago that takes the cake. Known for its historic roots and gorgeous Victorian-styled buildings, it’s easy to see why a lot of people would want to live here.

The runner-up ‘hood is Willow Bend Country in Plano, Texas due to it’s luxurious-looking homes and awesome shopping attractions, including The Shops At Willow Bend, an upscale shopping mall.

Realtor.com collects the information by looking for the most-searched areas by zip codes on the site.
