America's Most-Searched Zip Code Isn't What You'd Think (PHOTOS)

The Most Popular Zip Code In America Is...

Now that we've put the most-searched celebrity debate to bed, a new ranking has revealed another popular topic of internet inquiry -- what's the most popular neighborhood in the U.S.?

According to zip code search data compiled by Realtor.com, this year's most searched city dates back to the 1870s, features well-preserved Victorian-style buildings and a fashionable dining scene, and it also took the top spot in 2012.

Still not certain where it is? Perhaps this photo will offer a clue:

old town chicago

As the hub of Chicago’s three most popular neighborhoods -- the Gold Coast, Lincoln Park and River North -- Old Town is "steps from shopping, nightlife, restaurants, the beach and waterfront, a world-class weekly farmers market, and easy access to public transportation," realtor Lauren Mitrick tells Realtor.com. And its history (the neighborhood survived the Great Chicago Fire) lends it even more charm.

Runners up for the most searched zip codes in the U.S. include:

2. McKinney, TX
3. Wellington — West Palm Beach, FL
4. Pembroke Pines — Hollywood, FL
5. Ballantyne — Charlotte, NC
