Mother Of Pulse Nightclub Victim Speaks Out For Hillary Clinton

"We have to continue moving forward as an inclusive society."

The mother of a victim of the Pulse nightclub massacre that left 49 queer people, mostly of color, dead on June 12, 2016 spoke in a powerful new ad for The Human Rights campaign in support of Hillary Clinton this week.

Christine Leinonen is the mother of Christopher Leinonen, who was killed along with his boyfriend Juan Ramon Guerrero during the shooting. Christine Leinonen previously delivered an emotional and powerful speech at the Democratic National Convention about the need for commonsense gun control policies in America.

“[Christopher] had the kind of personality that brought people together ― all people ― and that’s why he supported Hillary Clinton,” Leinonen says in the above ad. “He was impressed with her as a leader. She wants to bring everybody to the table. We have to continue moving forward as an inclusive society. If you love a gay person, if you know someone who is gay and you really truly love them, I don’t know how you could justify a vote for Donald Trump.”
