Chaya Brasserie in San Francisco will offer a three-course chef's menu with bottomless mimosas and Champagne. Options include smoked trout, rainbow sashimi, buttermilk-fried organic chicken breast, soy-marinated flatiron steak, five-spice duck-confit hash, Japanese cheesecake, coconut-kale sorbet and more.

At Berkeley's Joshu-Ya Brasserie, chef-owner Jason Kwon is offering a four-course prix-fixe Mother's Day menu that includes morel spring risotto, mushroom-crusted ocean trout, Wagyu steak, scallop-uni fettuccini and bone-in pork chops -- plus complimentary glasses of wine for all mothers.

Aurea in the Renaissance San Francisco Stanford Court Hotel is offering a lavish Mother's Day brunch featuring its signature lemon-soufflé pancakes, Dungeness crab florentine and other dishes.

FIVE, in Berkeley's Hotel Shattuck Plaza, is offering a bottomless-mimosa Mother's Day brunch buffet whose many options include Belgian waffles, Texas french toast, hand-carved prime rib, an omelet station, strawberry shortcake, butterscotch pudding and pecan pie.

At Livermore's Restaurant at Wente Vineyards, chef Matt Greco and Master Gardener Diane Dovholuk join forces for a special three-course brunch featuring warm asparagus with salt-roasted radish, caviar, sabayon and hothouse greens; scallops with spring peas, black trumpet mushrooms, ham and almond milk; and yeasted cherry tart with streusel, saba and vanilla cream.

Oakland's Lake Chalet is serving special à la carte Mother's Day brunch items, including lobster-mascarpone scramble, eggs Benedict with braised pork shoulder and buttermilk biscuits, bananas Foster rum french toast with caramel sauce, and poached egg Cobb salad. Mothers will receive free gerbera daisies.

San Francisco's Absinthe Brasserie & Bar is serving a special à la carte Mother's Day item on its regular brunch menu: baked salmon Wellington with peas, fava beans, wild mushrooms and caramelized potato-ham broth.

The Top of the Mark, in San Francisco's historic InterContinental Mark Hopkins Hotel, offers a legendarily lush Mother's Day brunch buffet featuring grilled halibut with merlot essence, kurobota pork medallions with honey-jalapeño glaze, custom omelets and waffles, a raw bar with oysters and crab -- and one of Northern California's most stunning vistas.

At San Francisco's 1300 on Fillmore, chef David Lawrence offers a special à la carte Mother's Day Gospel Brunch featuring live gospel music and Southern classics such as catfish po' boy sandwiches, grits, Cajun ham and barbecued shrimp.

San Francisco's atmospheric, historic Presidio Social Club is offering its usual brunch menu, plus a Mother's Day special, first-of-the-season Oregon bay shrimp salad with avocado and brioche.

At San Francisco's Luce, all mothers will receive complimentary roses. Brunch options include Niman Ranch short-rib hash with organic poached egg and smoked salmon Benedict with cucumber-fennel salad.

At Foreign Cinema in San Francisco, chef-owners Gayle Pirie and John Clark serve an array of dishes that they created especially for Mother's Day -- including organic fruit "Pop Tarts," oysters with mignonette, brandade with whipped cod, smoked salmon with black tobiko, and fried eggs with shaved asparagus.
