Sunday Roundup

I'm celebrating Mother's Day with my two daughters while discussing with them Peggy Drexler's powerful and moving book about the relationship between fathers and daughters () and remembering my own mother who passed away eleven years ago but remains the foundation of my life -- her fearlessness, her sense of adventure, her ability to find joy in the most commonplace things still guiding me. "Don't miss the moment," she kept reminding me. Her unconditional loving was her greatest gift to me, and the greatest gift we can all give to our children. Happy Mother's Day, moms! And to all the fathers, we love you too -- especially after reading Peggy's book.
