At 7 p.m. Monday night, sheep and goats grazed peacefully off of Purisima Creek Road near Half Moon Bay. By 7 a.m. on Tuesday morning, remains of the animals, mauled by a mountain lion, were found strewn across the road, according to SFGate.

The Examiner also reported the attack, reminding readers to make noise and look bigger if faced with a mountain lion.
