Move Aside, Matthew McConaughey Is The Most Intense Cheerleader At The Olympics

Dad???

There are a few things Matthew McConaughey loves in this world: Texas, playing the bongos naked, taking his Lincoln out for a spin, and cheering for the good ol’ USA at the 2016 Rio Olympics

McConaughey showed off a wide range of hand signals, facial expressions and leg flexibility during the swimming events on Monday, while also sort of looking like someone’s very nervous dad. Taking a page out of Leonardo DiCaprio’s book, the actor wore a newsboy cap, showing his support for the U.S. in a navy Olympic rings T-shirt and jeans.

Below are some pics of the actor and what we think he was saying:

“All right, all right, all right, let’s get this puppy going.”

“Nothing I love more than ‘Merica.”

“Hell, that Lilly King is incredible.”

“Turn up the heat, Lilly!”

“Somebody get that girl a gold medal.”

“Make that two medals.”

Woo, boy, that Michael Phelps is fast, huh?”

“Camila, you’ve gotta come see this.”

The actor later popped in on Ryan Seacrest’s Brazil broadcast and the two chatted about the Olympics. But what we really want to know is where McConaughey got that awesome shirt.
