We are both the controller and the controlled. There is the "I" and then there is the observer of the "I." We must go beyond both to discover and reconnect with our soul self. We are both the controlled and the controller when we are stuck in the ego, the identity that we've formed, yet we are neither. We are the silent space of eternal soul, beyond all of the egos masks, and that includes its controller and controlled mask.

Yet, many people live as if they are puppets to the egos emotions, to its need to control. There is no need to buy into the egos ideologies, if you continue to buy into them you will continue to be deeply unhappy. The ego does not want happiness for you, it wants power, control and friction.

Can you live without the controller and the controlled?

Test it out for yourself, the next time the ego crops up, dictating "you need to do this," "you must do this," or "you should do this," observe it, and observe the egos performance. How well does the ego respond when you decide not to be controlled and dictated by its every action, every thought and every "should."

Just because you have thoughts formed and forged by the ego doesn't mean you need to act on them.

Be aware when your controlling voice emerges and when the controller kicks in and tries to complete those urges. Your soul essence is neither, but it can be easy to want to believe that those voices, dictations and directions are you, and the way you should go in life.

Your soul doesn't need to dictate a direction for you to go in, your soul is happy and content now.

Whatever the soul enjoys, it will enjoy now and that is the route that one must take in living their life. Purposefully, now.

This week become the observer of the controller and the controlled. Notice any patterns that emerge, what is your ego trying to make you do, be or feel? If you drop the way your ego dictates you should go, it allows room for your soul to emerge and take you where you really should go.
