'Mrs. Doubtfire' Arson Suspect Arrested By San Francisco Police

'Mrs. Doubtfire' Arson Suspect Charged With Attempted Murder

SAN FRANCISCO -- Police on Wednesday arrested a woman they say set fire to a home that was prominently featured in the Robin Williams comedy "Mrs. Doubtfire."

The front door and garage of the house in the upscale Pacific Heights neighborhood were damaged by the fire set on Monday night, according to KGO-TV. A plastic surgeon who resides there stamped out the flames.

Tyqwon Welch, 25, was charged with attempted murder, criminal threats, trespassing, arson and possession of an incendiary device. Police arrested her in San Jose on Wednesday morning.

The house is a popular tourist attraction because of the movie. Douglas Ousterhout, the doctor who lives there, specializes in working with transgender patients. NBC Bay Area reported that police were investigating one of Ousterhout's former patients as a suspect. Police declined to comment.

Ousterhout didn't return calls from The Huffington Post. Attempts to reach Welch's relatives were unsuccessful.
