Museum Of Sex Celebrates Condoms With Dress Made From 1,200 Rubbers

Manhattan's Museum of Sex's newest exhibition, entitled "Rubbers," certainly has a centerpiece to get excited about: a dress by Brazilian artist Adriana Bertini made of 1,200 hand-dyed condoms, the New York Post reports. Bertini has been crafting clothes made from quality-test rejected condoms for the last decade and her creations have been shown around the globe.

The Museum of Sex exhibition also traces the evolution of barrier protection from fish bladders and gourds to vulcanized rubber and designer carrying cases. And there is a part dedicated to the sexually transmitted diseases condoms prevent.
