Now that the dust has settled from the countless year-end lists that dot the internet like so many discarded Christmas trees, it's time to look toward what 2013 has to offer. When it comes to music, that means albums from typical pop standouts like Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj, but also some pretty big reunions and comebacks.

Up-and-comers like A$AP Rocky and Azealia Banks will look to breathe fresh life into rap, while Ozzy Osbourne will strike up Black Sabbath for an album that's going to be either amazing or amazingly horrible.

As is normally the case in the music industry, some unconfirmed rumors could serve up the most exciting releases of the year. Pearl Jam say they have a handful of songs already recorded, but aren't sure if 2013 is the right year to drop a new album.

Come spring, two female voices are returning to their craft: Mariah Carey, who released a dud of a song this year with "Triumphant (Get 'Em),"and Cher, whose "Woman's World" single fared slightly better than Carey's track, are both set to release new records in March.

Another huge name supposedly stepping back into the spotlight: Eminem. Will the Detroit rapper find his earlier, angst-ridden voice again, or will he continue to make songs that could double as pep talks from a middle school basketball coach? Stay tuned.

From Kanye West to Thom Yorke and Flea, there's much more to be anticipated. Ahead, 21 acts who are either definitely or maybe releasing new music over the next twelve months. Let us know who you're most excited about -- and what projects we missed -- in the comments.
