Having spent many seasons photographing street style in cities like London, Milan, Paris & New York, part of me yearned to explore a place and a visual aesthetic far removed from everything I had seen before.

This lead to a trip to Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, which I was lucky enough to travel to earlier this year.

The experience brought me from the astonishing beauty of a sunrise upon a remote mountain lake, to moments of confusion from cultural attitudes related to religion and gender. While often finding myself somewhere between these two worlds, I was always transfixed aesthetically by the sights around me..

For a fashion obsessed person, the pinnacle for me, was observing the effortless and authentic style of the people in the tribal villages I visited.

My hope is that these photos will give you a taste of the inspiring eye-candy I was fortunate enough to see in this amazing country.
