Like millions of Americans all across the country, we decorate our home for the holidays. And as proud military parents, and grandparents to military-connected children, Joe and I always make sure to put up ornaments, stockings and other decorations to honor our military and their families.
While most military families will celebrate the holidays together, some parents to military-connected kids will be away from home during the holidays, serving our country abroad. That's why I'm joining forces with YouTube Kids to launch my #KidsServeToo playlist in honor of all those kids who are connected to the military. The videos on my playlist highlight the unique challenges faced by military children as they cope with frequent moves and their parent's deployments.
My hope is that these videos help other kids understand the incredible courage and sacrifice of their friends and classmates who may have a family member or loved one who is serving in the military.
We owe our thanks to our military and their families for the service and sacrifices they make for our country. That's the reason why First Lady Michelle Obama and I started Joining Forces. So, this holiday season, I hope all Americans can find ways to support and show their appreciation for our service members, veterans, and their families.
Happy holidays, and God bless our troops and their families.
