Naomi Campbell Launches Italian Denim Collection With Fiorucci

Supermodel, tabloid star -- now Naomi Campbell can also add "designer" to her resume.

As Vogue Italia reported today, the iconic model has just introduced a 15-piece capsule collection of denim for Spring/Summer 2012.

The collection is a collaboration with Fiorucci, a company with strong Italian roots. That may have been what inspired Campbell, in her interview with Vogue Italia, to draw a quite interesting parallel:

Jeans are perfect for travelling -- you can wear them with a pair of trainers or flip-flops if you want comfort or heels if you want to look sexy. Jeans are like pasta -- basic, but you can interpret them differently each time and play with the accessories.

We're not sure Naomi has ever even eaten pasta, but we'll go with it. The line also includes five graphic t-shirts featuring vintage Naomi Campbell covers from i-D magazine, which made its own Italian debut at the Fiorucci shop back in 1982.

Check out a few of the new tees below and head to Vogue Italia to read the rest of the interview.
