Naomi Campbell has spent nearly three decades flaunting her ridiculously awesome body for the world's top designers, fashion magazines and brands. And the 43-year-old British bombshell shows no signs of stopping.
Last month she walked in Diane von Fursentberg's Spring 2014 show during New York Fashion Week, and for the first time in 14 years, she graced the runway for Versace at couture Week in Paris. But despite Naomi's legendary career, age-defying good looks and feisty personality, the supermodel isn't exempt from harboring insecurities.
Naomi recently got glammed up for Net-A-Porter's The Edit and told the e-mag about her trepidation after stepping out on the Versace runway this past spring.
“I was quite stunned at the reaction -- I remember the room being quiet and I thought, ’Oh my God, they don’t want me here!'," she told The Edit.
Not the case. That hush was just the audience being rendered speechless at the mere sight of Naomi's fabulousity -- something we thought she was used to by now. Not to mention she looked better than ever for the show thanks to her yoga and Pilates workout regimen -- and one of those infamous model diets.
“For ten days prior to the Versace show, I just drank juice –- carrot, ginger, pineapple –- to cleanse.”
Hmmm, we'll stick to solids. But the moral of the story is, even the world's glamazons get self-conscious. We're feeling better already -- how about you?
