You don't have to be full-blast Kanye to possess narcissist qualities.

In Greek mythology, a character called Narcissus fell in love with his own reflection in a pond and stared at it for so long that he died. These days, we have selfie sticks to capture the image we love most, but if we didn't, would you be doomed?

According to the AsapThought video above, there are several ways to spot a narcissist -- beyond noticing that they love what they see in the mirror. Research shows that narcissists have a hard time empathizing with others; they mostly understand the world in ways that it relates to themselves.

Narcissism can refer to a full-fledged personality disorder, but as we've mentioned before, having narcissistic qualities isn't all bad. We all have the traits to some extent, and there are ways to use these characteristics to interact with others in a positive way. And, in many cases, narcissists are in tune with the fact that they're self-obsessed, which hints at the fact that they're pretty self-aware. That's a good quality to foster.

Knowing your flaws, and spending time working on them, will only make you a stronger person in the end. If you are narcissistic, don't worry: You are not fated to die while staring at your own reflection.
