WASHINGTON -- Following last spring's Washington Ballet performance of "Alice," the Kennedy Center is once again staging the Lewis Carroll classic. The National Ballet of Canada is in the midst of Christopher Wheeldon’s "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland."
A co-production between National Ballet of Canada and London's Royal Ballet, this performance will run until Jan. 27. The work has been praised by The Washington Post. "Wheeldon’s account of the beloved Lewis Carroll story is eventful and beautifully designed."

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
The National Ballet of Canada returns to the Kennedy Center after a 2006 run of "Swan Lake."
It appears that the story of "Alice" is consistently being told in D.C. In addition to this production, the Washington Ballet performed their interpretation of a fantastic "Alice" with costumes designed by Cirque du Soleil designer Liz Vandal.

This past fall artist Sean Hennessey's "Reimagining Alice" used the work as a starting point for a multimedia series featuring glass sculptures.
