BBC's James Naughtie, Andrew Marr Make Profane Gaffe About UK Politician Jeremy Hunt (AUDIO)

LISTEN: Two UK Journalists Make Same Profane Gaffe About Politician

It must be a record: two different broadcasters on the same network making the same profane on-air gaffe when trying to get the same person's name right. But that's what happened when two of Britain's most high-profile journalists mangled the name of Jeremy Hunt, who serves as the Culture Minister in the UK government.

James Naughtie, a longtime co-host of the prestigious BBC radio news program "Today," was the first to make the error, when he accidentally replaced the "H" at the start of Hunt's last name with a "C." He descended into a coughing fit right afterwards.

LISTEN:

Later in the day, Andrew Marr, who hosts a panel show on the same network, Radio 4, was talking about Naughtie's gaffe. After promising not to repeat it, he did just that.

LISTEN:

Both men apologized for their blunders.
