'Neighbors' Trailer: Zac Efron Has The Upper Hand On Seth Rogen

Zac Efron Is The Neighbor From Hell

Universal used the occasion of James Franco's Comedy Central roast to debut the first trailer for "Neighbors" (formerly titled "Townies"), next summer's high-concept comedy with Seth Rogen and Zac Efron. The film stars Rogen and Rose Byrne as a mild-mannered married couple who have their lives turned upside down after Efron's fraternity house moves in next door (Dave Franco and Christopher Mintz-Plasse are part of the frat, as you hoped and expected). The red-band trailer for "Neighbors" premiered via MTV on Monday night and it features at least two R-rated moments (Mintz-Plasse having sex with a young woman next to Rogen's porch being one), while also setting up the premise quite nicely (love that "Se7en" reference). Nicholas Stoller ("The Five-Year Engagement," "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and "Get Him To the Greek") directs the film, which is out on May 9, 2014. (It's never too early to think of next summer.)
