WATCH: Carl Sagan's 'Cosmos' Makes Comeback

Carl Sagan's classic TV series "Cosmos" is poised to make a comeback next year.

Celebrated astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson has been chosen to host the 13-part "Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey." The new docu-series will premiere in spring 2014, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Last week Fox Broadcasting Company unveiled a trailer for this modern take on the original series at the pop-culture convention Comic-Con in San Diego, and science enthusiasts have been buzzing with excitement ever since -- watch the video above.

Who else is behind this venture? TV producer Seth MacFarlane, along with Sagan’s original collaborators -- writer/executive producer Ann Druyan and astronomer Steven Soter.
