Neil Patrick Harris Opens Up About Wedding Plans

For Neil Patrick Harris, it’s all about the journey, not the destination -- especially when it comes to his wedding day. That's why he and long-time fiance David Burtka are taking their sweet time on the road to the altar.

The “How I Met Your Mother” star stopped by HuffPost Live Monday and revealed why, after nine years and two kids together, the duo still hasn’t set a date to tie the knot.

In a word: timing.

Not so romantic you say? You'd be wrong.

“You want to honor the time around the wedding as much as the wedding itself," he said. "The wedding itself will be fun, whether it’s big or small. Or here or there. You also want to enjoy the discussions of all the stuff. Of what you eat and who comes and all that stuff.”
