Nela Zisser Eats 100 Pieces Of Sushi In Under 9 Minutes

This is no fish tale.
You know how you leisurely eat sushi with soy sauce, wasabi and ginger, maybe taking a nice slow pull of beer between bites? Yeah, this isn't that.
In a stunt that every sushi restaurant with an all-you-can-eat deal should note, petite Nela Zisser recently consumed 100 pieces of sushi (with rice) in 8 minutes, 50 seconds.
Zisser, a former Miss Earth New Zealand pageant winner, posted her feat to YouTube about a week after her seventh-place finish (16 hot dogs with buns) in the women's division of the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest on July 4.
While her sushi assault is impressive, it is far short of the record recognized by Major League Eating. In 2008, Tim "Eater X" Janus inhaled 141 pieces of Nigiri sushi in 6 minutes. The site does not list a separate record for women.
Zisser, of Auckland, New Zealand, has been gaining attention for her competitive eating exploits on YouTube, including pig-out challenges on McDonald's Filet-O-Fish sandwiches and Subway Footlongs.
As for her sushi takedown, check out the full raw video above.
