Happy birthday, Nelson Mandela!
The former President of South Africa and renowned activist is celebrating his 93rd birthday today, and while he has mostly retired from public life, his legacy and wisdom unquestionably continue to influence our world today.
Since 2009, Mandela's birthday has been celebrated as an international day of public good and service, so it should come as no surprise that those who consider him an inspiration are honoring his life in special ways.

In honor of Mandela's 67 years of public service, the Nelson Mandela Day website is highlighting its list of 67 ways to "change the world."
