Netflix kicked off the Television Critics Association summer press tour on Tuesday with a slew of new announcements. From an upcoming Keith Richards documentary and new Aziz Ansari series to details on "Fuller House" and Season 2 of "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," there's a lot to look forward to. Here's everything we learned:
The first episode of "Fuller House" has been shot.
We already saw pictures of John Stamos on the set of the new "Full House" reboot and an Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky reunion. But on Tuesday, Ted Sarandos, the chief content officer of Netflix, revealed that the first episode was shot last week, and teased that the Olsen twins might possibly return for the reboot. Sarandos also said of the new series, "It's very much in the same spirit, but it's a modern take on 'Full House.'"
"Arrested Development" Season 5 is in talks.
Sarandos teased a new season of the beloved comedy during the panel, saying that Netflix is "plugging along" with it. "It is our intent to have a new season of 'Arrested Development,' and all the negotiations are underway."
Aziz Ansari is getting his own series.
Co-created by Ansari and Alan Yang, "Masters of None" is a comedy about Dev (Ansari), a 30-year-old actor through his personal and professional struggles. The series will be executive produced by Mike Schur ("Parks and Recreation"), Dave Becky ("Louie") and David Miner ("Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt"), and will also star H. Jon Benjamin, Eric Wareheim, Lena Waithe, Noel Wells and Kelvin Yu. "Masters of None" will premiere on Nov. 6 along with the fourth season of "Longmire."
"Jessica Jones" and "A Very Murray Christmas" are coming soon.
A handful of new shows and specials will debut on Netflix during the fourth quarter of 2015. Those include Marvel's "Jessica Jones" series, Sofia Coppola's Bill Murray Christmas special "A Very Murray Christmas," Bob Odenkirk and David Cross' "With Bob and Dave," the third and final season of "Hemlock Grove," and Bill Burr's animated comedy, "F is for Family."
"BoJack Horseman" renewed for Season 3.
Will Arnett will return for a third season to voice his titular '90s sitcom star horse, along with Aaron Paul, Amy Sedaris and Alison Brie.
A Keith Richards doc will debut on Netflix.
Following news that the rock 'n' roll icon will release his first solo album in two decades, Richards has a new documentary headed to Netflix. "Keith Richards: Under the Influence," from "20 Feet From Stardom" filmmaker Morgan Neville, who also directed Richards' latest music video, will premiere on Sept. 18.
"Sense8" hasn't been renewed, yet.
During the panel for Netflix's sci-fi series, co-creator J. Michael Straczynski said the show had not yet been renewed for a second season, but that the creators are "cautiously optimistic."
Chelsea Handler does drugs ... sort of.
Handler's docu-series with Netflix, "Chelsea Does," will include four films "Chelsea Does Marriage," "Chelsea Does Drugs," "Chelsea Does Racism" and "Chelsea Does Technology." Last month, Handler revealed details about the series, saying that the "Drugs" film revolves around ayahuasca, a hallucinogenic brew from South America. During her TCA panel, Handler also said her Netflix talk show will be coming next year and be on "a few times a week."
Tituss Burgess responded to the "Kimmy Schmidt" race backlash.
