The final votes are in. Here is the 2014 National Prep School Invitational All-Tournament Team. Thanks to all the players, fans and coaches for making the 16th annual NPSI a big success!
Most Outstanding Player: Jalen Adams, Cushing Academy (MA): The 6'2" rising junior averaged 23.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.5 steals in two Cushing wins, the last a 2-point win over West Oaks in which Adams made an incredible pass for the winning score.
Sidy Ndir, West Oaks (FL) High School: The Texas A&M recruit impressed with his athleticism, quick first-step and his shooting ability. Ndir averaged 21 points and 4.3 assists over four games.
Yuta Watanabe, St. Thomas More (CT): The 6'7" point forward from Japan committed to George Washington this week. He averaged 13.3 points and 4.3 rebounds over three games.
Devonte Graham, Brewster Academy (NH): Graham, who signed with Appalachian State and has since blown up and is being recruited by many high majors, showed why he's garnering so much attention. In Brewster's only game Graham canned 6-of-8 three-pointers on the way to a 24-point, five-rebound, one-turnover effort.
Jarvis Garrett, Notre Dame Prep (MA): The 5'11" point guard has impressed us this year. Garrett was ready to chose between Rhode Island and Marquette but his effort at the NPSI has garnered interest from Indiana, Creighton, Washington State and others. In three games Garrett averaged 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 7.0 assists.
Anas Osama, West Oaks (FL) High School: The 7'1" Osama has unlimited potential. He has about a 7'5" wingspan, runs the court very well and even has some handle and step-out shooting. He's recently visited Louisville, Kentucky is interested and has Auburn and Georgia Tech in his sights as well. After this weekend every high major in attendance will be calling. Osama averaged 11.3 points and 8.0 rebounds over four games.
Yevgen Shakniuk, GB Academy (Prague): The 6'8" Shakniuk is an athletic 3-4 with ability across the board. Florida State, Boston College, Tulsa and Rhode Island are were very interested. Shakniuk was one point away from four double-doubles over four games, averaging 16.3 points, 10.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.0 blocks.
Kaleb Joseph, Cushing Academy (MA): The next Syracuse point guard averaged 13.5 points, 11.0 assists, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals in two games.
Terance Mann, Tilton School (NH): The 6'4" Mann, a junior, impressed in his only game in front of VCU's Shaka Smart, scoring 20 points, grabbing eight rebounds to go long with four assists and three steals.
Isaac Copeland, Brewster Academy (NH): The 6'8" Copeland, headed to Georgetown, showed a varied game, scoring 23 points, grabbing four boards and hitting his only three-point attempt in Brewster's 114-73 win over Vermont Academy.
Bruce Brown, Vermont Academy: Brown, a 6'4" sophomore, had a 30-point game against South Kent and averaged 23.5 points and six rebounds over two games.
Earl Potts Jr., Coastal Academy (NJ): Potts Jr., currently unsigned, had several nice games. The 6'6" wing had a 27-point, 11-rebound effort and averaged 20 points and 10.5 rebounds over two games.
