David Muir Tops List Of Network Correspondents With Most Airtime (PHOTOS)

ABC News correspondents topped the list of reporters who got the most airtime in 2011, according to TV news analyst Andrew Tyndall.

ABC’s David Muir led the pack with 343 minutes of airtime, followed by the network's senior White House correspondent Jake Tapper. Foreign correspondent Richard Engel had the most airtime on NBC (246 minutes), while Congressional correspondent Nancy Cordes -- the only woman in the top ten -- had the most airtime on CBS (226 minutes). The list excluded television news anchors.

Tyndall's report also examined coverage trends for the past year. The broadcast networks spent the most time on Muammar Gaddafi's death in Libya (685 minutes), and Hosni Mubarak's fall from power in Egypt. Other top stories included the federal budget talks, the tsunami and nuclear crisis in Japan and the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
