Hey, and welcome to my personal selection of wellness websites.

I hand-picked each of these sites because they don’t belong to the elite of hugely popular websites that already attract millions of readers from all over the world.

Most of these are websites and bloggers that are still working hard to get their name out there and doing what they can to build a fan base. This roundup is my attempt at helping them succeed.

(But you should know that I am not getting compensated for this in any way!)

So visit their websites, bookmark them, subscribe to their newsletters or RSS feeds, share them with your friends, or help them out in any other way.

Also, the descriptions of what the websites are all about are their own words and they aren’t ordered in any particular way. I simply added the sites in the same order in which I connected with them.

1. Kyle Kranz

Kyle Kranz is a running coach who lives in Rapid City, South Dakota and works with runners all over the world as an online running coach. On his website, Kyle shares his near daily video upload or running advice article ranging from his training log, entrepreneur vlog, to thoughts and advice he has for people training for just about any race distance at any ability level.

As a previously obese and depressed high schooler to a sub-elite runner who has ran race distances up to 100 miles, he has an interesting take on training. Since he primarily coaches busy adult runners with jobs, school, and families, he tries to keep things simple and to the point, easy to take in and implement.

Through his athlete testimonials, the replies on twitter, and the quick videos on his Youtube channel, you can tell that Kyle is always trying to provide value to people in whatever way he can.

3. Unlearn Rethink

Confronting the confusion of the many myths of popular nutrition and fitness, I try to weed through the scientific lingo and present true, evidence based conclusions in a way that is understandable for those who may not know how to translate the technical jargon of a scientific research study. I try to tackle one nutritional myth at a time, in an effort to challenge readers to unlearn and rethink topics that have been diluted over the years by junk science and just plain "hearsay."

6. Russ Howe PTI

"I'm gonna die.. I hate you.. Same time tomorrow?"

When I run PT sessions at Powerhouse Gym in South Shields, that's a typical client response. There are far too many 'nice' trainers who want to tell people they can get in great shape for barely any effort, and I want to be as far away from that part of the fitness world as I can! I believe you should always go to the gym ready for war.

When I created my website, I used the same process. My followers are able to log in for free, pick a workout plan, boot it up on their phone and take me to the gym with them. Each exercise comes with a video demo, tips and tricks on how to make the next set more devastating than the last. But they ain't easy! For the 60 minutes you're with me, I want to destroy you. The challenge makes it much more fun and builds character. That's why my workouts have names (i.e. you won't just train legs, you'll do 'Thightanic'). Women in particular respond well to this 'No BS' hard training, and I think that's why 75% of my member base is female.

22. Fit For Joy

Fit for Joy connects physical activities with spirituality and enjoyment, and psychological processes with nature. The heart is where joy resides, and the body and mind are the bridges that access it.

Fitness habits can become escapism. Most of us dwell in the past or become preoccupied with how to escape it by living for a “better” future. As a result, unnecessary suffering becomes the primary motivation to visit to the gym and to eat healthy. This, however, creates the trap of sustaining habits out of fear, making exercise and diet into negative forces and compounding the root problem as we live for our bodies through abusive mechanisms.

After investing more twenty years in physical health both, as an enthusiast and fitness trainer, Valeria Teles finally realized that true health comes from knowing the depths of our own hearts and the nature of life. With this knowledge, all her external searches for happiness and peace ended and a joyful celebration began.

The premise of Fit for Joy is that to be healthy is to be loving. When we learn to access the truth inside of our own hearts we can replace the marathon toward suffering with a joyful adventure.
