Coast Guard officials are responding to a diesel spill in the New Bedford, Mass. harbor.
A marine safety officer with the New Bedford Fire Department reported a sheen on the water near Fish Island bridge around 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, according to The Boston Globe. A boom has been installed to try and contain the spill, and a fire lieutenant says the oil spilled is a "retrievable quantity."
The cause is still under investigation.
