Last week, attorney Gloria Allred held a press conference with the three new women accusing Bill Cosby of sexual assault. On Thursday, Allred attended another press conference in New York with two new accusers, one introduced as Elizabeth, a former flight attendant, and Charlotte Fox, a former aspiring actress.
The two women were accompanied by Allred and Sarita Butterfield, a former Playboy model who has previously spoken out against Cosby for assaulting her at the Playboy Mansion when she was 15 years old. The press conference was streamed live via CTV News.
The woman introduced as Elizabeth read her statement first at the conference. She recounted her experience at a Japanese restaurant where Cosby made her drink from his sake. "All I know is that it was the most horrifying thing that could happen to any young woman," Elizabeth said. "The next thing I remember is I was in the Rolls-Royce profusely vomiting. I remember the driver saying, 'You're not the first.'"
Elizabeth continued, saying, "I've lived with the shame and the guilt of thinking it was somehow my fault, but it wasn't. Because if I hadn't been drugged, I would have never ended up in a hotel with him and he knew that."
Fox then recalled her time working on the set of "Uptown Saturday Night" as an extra in the 1970s where she met the comedian. Fox remembered feeling sick and waking up in a room with her clothes off and Cosby wearing a robe. "It was not consensual. I was afraid to call out," she said. "When I heard the other women," she said of the other accusers, "I said 'Oh God, that is what happened to me.'"
Butterfield read her statement about her Christmas Eve encounter with Cosby, which she's previously spoken about. "Bill Cosby continued to pursue after that incident as if nothing had happened." Butterfield alleged that Cosby offered her a role in a movie and to pay her tuition following the reported assault.
While Allred said she didn't know the exact total of women who have accused Cosby, the two women today bring the total number of accusers who have come forward to over 50 -- there were previously 46 before Colleen Hughes, Linda Ridgeway Whitedeer and Eden Tirl came forward last week.
Cosby is expected to testify under oath on Oct. 9 in a lawsuit brought against him by Judy Huth. This will mark the first time the "Cosby Show" star will be ordered to give a sworn deposition in response to a complaint of sexual misconduct since the testimony he gave in a 2005 case in Pennsylvania. In that deposition, which was settled outside of court, Cosby admitted to drugging women with quaaludes. At Thursday's press conference, Allred said, "We expect the real Bill Cosby to show up, not Dr. Cliff Huxtable."
