Tripel in Playa del Rey
Just steps to the beach, adjacent to the Marina sits Tripel, the quintessential dive-bar but with the upscale LA twist. Only serving beer and wine gives guests the opportunity to sip beverages they haven't necessarily heard of but will search for in the stores. The menu is eclectic but no matter what you order, you won't be disappointed. The Crispy Pig Ear Salad or Potted Duck & Rabbit Rillette sound extremely intimidating to the average diner but, I've learned that if it made the menu, try it.

Tip: Beach parking may be difficult but parking is available one block on the beach. Get there at sunset, watch the sun go down and grub down.
